The View
The relationship between intimacy and loneliness is examined in this work. A figure turned aside, deep in contemplation, framed by the gentle geometry of an open window, is shown in The View, an ink rendering of a quiet moment of silence. The observer may concentrate on form, light, and the subtle tension between strength and fragility due to the monochromatic palette's emphasis on contour and contrast. It is a reflection of how we see other people and how our own perceptions and choices about what to reveal define who we are.
